Raquel Jennings, a Philadelphia-born artist, possesses a rich and extensive career as an actress, singer, and songwriter, spanning over two decades. Raquel originated the role of Jacqui Minton in the world premiere of "Grace" at Ford's Theatre. She has graced eminent stages like Carnegie Hall, The Apollo Theater, PAC-NYC, Signature Theatre, and The Kennedy Center. With a B.A. and M.A. in Music from Morgan State University, Raquel, a classically trained soprano, has served as a featured soloist in national and international choral groups. Her songwriting prowess extends to original compositions for stage plays and her solo music. She recently returned from touring with The Kennedy Center Theatre for Young Audiences playing the role of Mama in Show Way and currently has the pleasure of playing Princess Tiana on the Disney Wish Main Stage. Some of her other notable credits include portraying Sarah in Ragtime, Lorrell in Dreamgirls, and Cathy in The Last 5 Years.
